The P.I.T. Foundation sponsors children enrolled at our partner nursery school in the Sing’isi Village of Arusha, Tanzania. Each year, local families apply for one of a limited number of spots in our early education program. Some children are also referred to us by village leaders who identify families in greatest need.

Our team then conducts a careful screening and home assessment process, gathering insights and references from community members to ensure that support reaches the most vulnerable children. From there, we select the students who demonstrate the highest need and readiness to benefit from the program.

After completing their early education at our partner nursery school in Sing’isi Village, sponsored students continue their studies at one of our trusted partner primary schools in Arusha. From there, our goal is to support each child throughout their entire educational journey — through secondary school and, whenever possible, into university, vocational training, or career readiness.

The P.I.T. Foundation’s Child Sponsorship Program is built to walk alongside every student from their earliest classroom experiences until they are confident, independent, and empowered to shape their own future.

Absolutely! We love helping sponsors build meaningful connections with the children they support. Beyond the regular updates we share, our team is happy to facilitate additional communication — whether that’s exchanging letters, sending messages, or arranging a video call when possible.

All interactions are coordinated through the P.I.T. Foundation to ensure the safety and well-being of every child, while allowing sponsors to experience the joy of seeing the difference they’re making firsthand.

The majority of your sponsorship directly supports your sponsored child’s education — covering tuition, school supplies, healthcare, and other essential needs. A small portion helps sustain our local team in Tanzania and ensures the long-term stability of the P.I.T. Foundation’s programs.

The P.I.T. Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States, which means donations are tax-deductible for U.S. residents. We are also a fully registered nonprofit organization in Tanzania.

Once your contribution is processed, we’ll provide an official donation receipt for your records. Please note that tax-deductibility may vary depending on your country of residence. Although we try to avoid this situation, we understand that life can change unexpectedly. Therefore, if you need to pause or stop your sponsorship, we ask for as much notice as possible so we can ensure the child’s education remains uninterrupted.
